Julie Du Brow, Founder / CEO
Julie Du Brow (she/her/hers) is Founder/CEO of the boutique communications firm, dubroWORKS PR+, catering to for- and non-profits. Sustainability, the environment, and architecture / design / building have evolved as her firm’s specialty, while also working with clients in technology, community, film, art, food, and start-ups. With a background in talent management, her long-view approach has produced a strong track record of elevating the visibility and direction of changemaker clients – individuals and companies, startups and established. She excels at making the not-always-obvious connections among people and organizations, to expand client opportunities, vision and story.
As a communicator, Julie works closely with each client to discover and hone their most authentic message, and then using the most appropriate mediums for each client’s needs - traditional and/or emerging media, social media, speaker placement, cross-marketing opportunities. She has secured key client placements—from local to international.
As a business development professional, Julie makes connections and susses out partnerships to expand client opportunities – through media, with other businesses, with elected officials, with non-profits. She will spend time exploring the range of her client’s interests, discovering the less obvious nuggets. Collaboration, transparency and trust are the name of the game.
Julie opened dubroWorks following 16 years in the music industry, as: a talent manager and product/project manager supporting platinum (Mötley Crüe, Duran Duran, Tony Toni Tone, Richard Marx, etc.) and new (Deana Carter, James Michael, Yoli, etc.) artists, and as a major label Operations Director. She also served as Associate Producer on the Academy Award-nominated documentary, “Speaking in Strings”.
She is a proud native Angelena, who grew up amidst the entertainment industry, and graduated with a B.A. in Communications/Mass Media from UCLA.
dubroWorks collaborates with talented and highly effective Strategic Partners on an ‘as needed’ basis.
