dubroWORKS is comprised of principal Julie Du Brow and strategic partners brought in on
a case-by-case basis. Julie is an entertainment executive with 18+
years experience in marketing, operations, artist management, production
and distribution, primarily in the music industry. She began dubroWORKS to provide project management, public relations and marketing to clients
in multiple fields of entertainment (music, mobile, film, etc.) and
the visual arts. It has evolved to encompass clients from a variety
of areas, especially design/building. Coming from a marketing and
personal management background and having worked in a variety of fields,
she thinks on a broader scale than others trained in one specific
area, and often uses (cross)marketing ideas to expand the scope of
any campaign.
She has worked for the Left Bank Organization,
a top entertainment company entailing an international music artist management
division, a strategic research division and the Beyond Music record
label. She co-managed various platinum artists (including Mötley
Crüe, Deana Carter, Duran Duran), and then launched and initially
managed multiple departments for Beyond, where as Sr. Product Manager and
International Director, she helped guide key projects to success that formed
the label’s
foundation. Prior, she worked as Director of Operations for Capitol
Records where
she determined the financial, physical and time feasibility of new releases,
ongoing inventory, and p.o.p. materials, and worked to balance the goals
and needs of marketing, promotion and sales with the wishes of the artist.
Julie was Associate Producer on the Oscar-nominated documentary Speaking
in Strings. She was one of four founding editors and then Sr. Editor
of U. The National College Newspaper, a commercial endeavor
distributed through universities across the U.S., with over 1.4 million circulation.
She attended U.C.L.A., where her passion for music, management and the independent
world was solidified during her tenure as on-air host and Operations Manager
of KLA, the college radio station. She graduated with honors, earning a B.A.
in Communications/Mass Media
